Adventures of a Mathematician is the story of a Polish immigrant and mathematician, Stan Ulam, who moved to the U.S. in the 1930s. Stan deals with the difficult losses of family and friends while helping to create the hydrogen bomb and the first computer. When I was a math student in university, this was the type of movie I dreamed of one-day making. This movie balances the science, history, and biography part of a biopic. The math and science in the film are real, and the history is fascinating.
