The graph of a function h(t) expressing a balloon’s height is a common theme in a single variable calculus course. The movie “The Aeronauts” is a bit of a free adaptation of the record flight of James Glaisher, who in 1862 broke the world record for altitude in flight. It is a nicely told story with good action scenes. And then there are some graphs.
