Pablo receives a chair for his birthday, which is exactly what he doesn’t want. He locks himself in his room out of frustration and rage, vowing never to sit in his new chair. But when he begins to experiment with it, he eventually develops into a chair acrobat. Pablo travels the globe, giving performances in unusual locations and drawing large crowds. He eventually returns with a chair in hand, having discovered that the best presents frequently reside in our imagination and aren’t always the most evident.
