A First Course in Partial Differential Equations explains the general features of partial differential equations, including the elementary theory of complex variables. It is appropriate for advanced undergraduate and graduate students. The one-dimensional wave equation, the properties of elliptic and parabolic equations, the separation of variables and the Fourier series, nonhomogeneous issues, and analytic functions of a complex variable are some topics that will be covered in this course.
